Marquette has an obligation to our investors, financiers, tenants, staff, and to ourselves as a business to prioritise our people, places, properties, and performance. We see this as our human and corporate responsibility to the social and environmental issues of today.
For our tenants and staff, we ensure we provide quality services, a feeling of community, and a clean and healthy eco-system that promotes wellness, opportunity, prosperity, and equality.
Furthermore, through the properties that we own and manage, Marquette try to reduce the impact on the environment through reductions in energy and water usage, improving emission levels, increasing recycling programs, and lengthening the plan and equipment lifecycles. We prioritise reusing everything we can in our assets and always look for both big and small improvements. Marquette believe the most sustainable thing, we can do in commercial property is to re-use rather than create waste and replace elements that could be re-fashioned or re-imagined.
People: Prioritise our Investors, Tenants, Staff and External Stakeholders
Places: Preserve and enhance the environment and areas of importance
Properties: Provide aesthetic, efficient, and environmentally conscious real assets
Performance: Ensure each of the elements above are managed and maintained to the highest standards.
The broader property industry has been committed to targeting high quality ESG outcomes for over 15 years and we appreciate, and like our peers, we target ratings in our assets for:

Much of what we do is independently assessed to ensure best-in-class governance, we compare ourselves to other assets, managers, and benchmarks at all times.
We firmly believe that proactive and positive ESG initiatives enhance our returns and our asset’s values, whilst improving liquidity and sale opportunities. These are an added bonus for acting responsibly.
In its capacity as a fund and investment manager, Marquette Investment Managers has a duty to act in the interests of its investors and investment partners.
